**Job Description**

This position includes application / calibration responsibilities of advanced camera based driver assistance functions. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in. You will work directly with an entire development team including software developers, fellow application / calibration engineers and project managers to develop project specific solutions for driver assistance and/or automated driving technologies.

Below is a highlight of the things you would being working on:

* Responsible for vehicle testing / system integration / application / validation / requirements engineering for camera based driver assistance functions (e.g. predictive emergency brake systems, traffic sign recognition, 3D surround view, trailer features and autonomous driving functions).

* Responsible for camera integration in vehicle, debugging / troubleshooting using automotive development tools such as CANalyzer, CANape, Flexray and Matlab.

* Responsible for bench setup test (HIL/SIL) and vehicle instrumentation testing (public road and test track)

* In-vehicle and simulation/bench performance calibration of camera sensor based algorithms to meet both objective and subjective customer and Bosch performance specifications.

* Captures and analyzes customer requirements. Documents customer and system requirements in DOORS. Ensures full requirements traceability, partitioning, linkage for check point release and support issue / defect tracking

* Define and document test cases / test strategy, analyze and document test data / results

* Recommend software / logic changes for performance issues that cannot be solved via parameter tuning

* Ensure system development, validation and delivery according to guidelines and processes in place

* Support test drives with customer

* First point of contact for OEM for application topics, prepare technical presentations for customer

* Performs System integration of forward facing and surround cameras in vehicles. Drives and participates in developing the System architecture, SW Architecture, HW Architecture for the project.

* Drives and participates in developing Imager ISP characterization (including image quality tuning)

* Drives and participates in developing the functional safety concept (ASIL rating and HRA) and agreement with customer.

* Completes, reviews and approves (as applicable and required) Safety, FMEAs, and Risk assessments, and Hazard analysis.

* Adapts, tunes, and debugs software to improve performance and meet specifications.

* Validates functions in vehicle, and create efficient, reliable test methodology to validate algorithms and provides feedback to others (e.g., platform) based on road testing in NA.

* Instruments and maintains development vehicles. Organizes and/or participates in vehicle validation runs.

* 10 % domestic travel

**Qualifications**

* Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

* 3 years of work experience with the calibration and tuning of parameters in vehicle testing
