Position Description

DDL is seeking an IT Specialist with a background in Azure/cloud computing and cybersecurity to join IT Department.

**Position is in-office and only Hawaii residents (or those moving to Hawaii by mid-May 2024) will be considered.**

For those moving to Hawaii, relocation assistance is not provided.

Duties:

  • Support Director of IT and IT Executive by providing feedback/recommendations on initiatives and executing tasks and duties as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems as tasked to ensure they operate effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Provide support to external consultants in cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Evaluate technology risks and effectively community them to consultants and IT Leadership
  • Provide technical support to end-users and assist with their IT-related inquiries.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure the security and integrity of data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external IT vendors to complete projects, resolve problems and build relationships.
  • Assist with designing and administering end-user training and intercompany tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance IT infrastructure

Position RequirementsSkills/Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years as a hands-on full spectrum IT Specialist or similar role—experience must include cloud computing background, network administration, system configuration, software deployment, and hardware support.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to complete tasks and assignments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Computer science/Engineering background a plus
