Job Summary
This position in the Department of Plant Sciences is the technical lead for the bulk stable isotope unit at the Stable Isotope Facility. The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and direction of operation of seven elemental analyzer isotope-ratio mass spectrometers (EA-IRMS) at the Stable Isotope Facility. The incumbent will act as the interface between technical and data analytical staff to ensure project coordination and maintain sample throughput. The incumbent will provide data analytical support and assist junior staff in the routine maintenance of EA-IRMS systems and processing of client researcher samples. Tasks included instrument maintenance and operation, project coordination, method development, client communication, and technical training of junior staff.
