Construction materials technician job posting
MTA Engineers has a need for a full-time Construction Materials Testing Technician. This role consists of laboratory and job-site work. This position is located at both our Little Rock and Springdale office locations. Job description and duties are as follows:
Duties:
· Perform field and lab testing on construction materials such as asphalt, aggregates, soils, and concrete. This includes sampling and quality control on federal and local commercial projects.
· Review plans and specifications to make assessments for proper testing methods
· Inspect placement of materials to ensure job specifications are met
· Effectively communicate test results and recommendations to contractors and inspectors
· Record test results on daily reports
Qualifications:
· Basic computing skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel
· Good communication and organizational skills
· Construction materials testing experience a plus but not required
*Starting pay based on level of experience
Requirements:
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds daily
· Must possess valid drivers license and clean driving record for use of company vehicle
· High School diploma or GED
· Good work initiative and self-motivation
· Good punctuality
· Great attitude and courteous to co-workers and clients
· Must pass CTTP/ACI technician certification programs when required
· Must be able to work long hours with some weekends/night work likely
