What are the responsibilities and job description for the Monitor Tech position at Unity Health?
Education: High school education or equivalent required, must write clearly and legibly. Training and Experience: Previous experience in typing or computer skills is helpful but not required. Previous experience as a ward assistant, nursing assistant or in other patient related position desirable but not required. Job Knowledge: Exhibits ability to set priorities, organize work load, and efficiently utilize supplies and equipment. Able to identify basic dysrhythmias. Successfully completes basic dysrhythmia course. Passes basic dysrhythmia test, given at White County Medical Center, with a score of at least 80%. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, identification of nursing problems, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Serves as a resource nurse when oriented and so directed. Supports the organization#s mission, vision and values. Applies knowledge of patient#s age and cultural diversity, along with their spiritual and emotional needs into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
