UnitedHealth Group is Hiring a Senior Data Entry Clerk - San Antonio, TX Near San Antonio, TX
This position is full time. Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6am - 6pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 19500 IH 110 West San Antonio, TX .
We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Medical claims support
- Data entry, data management, and reporting
- Receive, Sort, Code, and forward electronic and physical mail to the appropriate department
- Applies knowledge/skills to activities that often vary from day to day
- Demonstrates a moderate level of knowledge and skills in own function
- Requires little assistance with standard and non-standard requests
- Solves routine problems on own
- Works with supervisor to solve more complex problems
- Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet agreed upon deadlines
- Works with others as part of a team
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience
- 1 years of administrative support experience, or working with database management, data entry
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (ability to sort and filter data)
- Microsoft Word (ability to create documents and use spelling and grammar checks)
- Microsoft Outlook (ability to navigate)
- Experience with phones
- Experience with filing
- Must be 18 years of age or older

- Experience in the medical field/ Healthcare industry
- Experience of reading Medical Claims forms
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
- Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
