Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Standard Time. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Must reside in the State of Texas.

If you are located within a commutable distance of Sugarland, TX, you’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities, and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, including intake, notification, and census roles
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
  • Navigate and document multiple clinical applications and SharePoint sites

This is high volume, customer service environment. You’ll need to be efficient, productive, and thorough dealing with our members and contracted providers. You also must be able to work a flexible schedule only during required overtime (when applicable)

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 3 years equivalent experience working within the health care Industry or with health care insurance
  • 2 years of experience working within the health care industry, or with health care insurance
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents) and Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Reside in the state of Texas with the ability to travel up to 10% of the time for office meetings within Texas
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior work at home experience
  • 2 years of experience working in a hospital, physician's office, or medical clinic setting
  • A clerical or administrative support background

  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills and scheduling skills as observed in day-to-day work

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Must demonstrate flexibility, ability to follow through on all tasks in a timely fashion, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Strong team player, initiative in achieving individual and team goals, and team building skills
  • Able to handle sensitive issues with members and providers in a confidential manner
  • Demonstrates initiative in achieving individual, team, and organizational goals and objectives
