Our client is looking for an in-house Senior Accountant to join their team. Their team has grown 2X over the last year.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and meticulously analyze monthly financial statements to ensure precision and completeness.
• Oversee the general ledger to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Utilize advanced data mining techniques across various software systems.
• Navigate a sophisticated and integrated IT environment, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and specialized restaurant programs such as the Point of Sale System.
• Manage banking operations and cash flow effectively.
• Undertake ad hoc analysis and projects as required.
• Collaborate with external accountants to ensure timely and accurate year-end closing and reporting.
• Provide expert guidance on general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and tax matters.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end financial activities.
• Facilitate cross-training initiatives with other accounting team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate a keen interest and curiosity in optimizing software systems to generate actionable reports and insights.
• Previous experience in the restaurant industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
