We are looking for a short-term contract Welding Engineer ( 2-5 months ) to support the Fermi Nuclear Plant in Newport, MI.

Responsibilities/Qualifications to include:
 - Familiarity, knowledge, and application of nuclear plant welding and plant QA/QC procedures
 - Ability to analyze and review welding procedures and weld process control sheets
 - Thorough understanding of welding processes and applicable standards/codes (ASME and AWS)
 - Must be able to read and interpret drawings/blueprints/design documents/work orders
 - American Welding Society (AWS) or United Association (UA) certified
 - Ability to review, examine, evaluate, and execute new welds and/or repair welds
 - Provide technical expertise as part of an integrated team (maintenance, projects, and engineering)
 - Provide liaison support with other departments on welding needs
 - Troubleshoot and assist in the resolution of welding issues
 - Perform/participate in pre-job briefs
 - Experience with nuclear plant refueling outage and projects operations
 - Nuclear experience required-welding procedures, processes, requirements, and materials
 - Interface with nuclear plant welding program
