Polaris CommunityThe Sales Counselor, working in IL / Middle Market, is responsible for the implementation of sales and marketing strategies to grow set occupancy and maintain consistent community and brand awareness. This position is primarily responsible to sell the community to prospects, professionals and the surrounding community to ultimately grow and maintain occupancy of the building.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Conduct daily sales functions to increase and maintain an active leads database, including cold calling, consistent touchpoints, follow-up calls/emails, and utilizing available applications, focusing on increasing or maintaining unit occupancy.
  • Build effective relationships with local community members and other communities to increase lead prospects.
  • Successfully transition prospects to resident status by engaging them, achieving conversion goals, and closing deals.
  • Document all leads and sales activity in the designated CRM system daily.
  • Generate leads through event execution and local community outreach.
  • Communicate required documents for move-in to necessary team members.
  • Coordinate and communicate with management on lead status including lead score, events, appointments, move-ins, and tours.
  • Participate in department budget planning and supply weekly and monthly reports as requested.
  • Maintain knowledge of internal sales systems and marketing programs.
  • Educate prospective residents and their designees and schedule regular follow-up communication.
  • Provide leadership and support to all team members ensuring entire team can support prospects as they transition to resident status.
  • Maintain inventory of sales materials ensuring prospects have visibility to the product being offered at all times.
  • Ensure community is tour-ready by managing models and model furniture.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.

Skills & Abilities

  • Education:Associate Degree required / Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) preferred. Recommended Field of Study: Marketing, Hospitality, Business or associated discipline
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of related experience
  • Computer Skills: Must have proficient typing and word processing skills; Must be able to proficiently operate a computer, the Internet, Microsoft Office products and basic office equipment. Experience inputting data and building reports in a Customer Relations Management (CRM) system.
  • Certifications & Licenses: Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Other: Sales Experience, particularly in health care services, products, pharmaceutical is desired. Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English language: Must be able to work closely with Executive Director/Administrator and community staff members. Must function independently, have flexibility and personal integrity; Must be able to adhere to all terms and conditions set forth in the United Church Homes Employee Handbook
