Residential Supervisor (DSP):

Are you an organized and responsible person looking to make a difference?

As a Residential Supervisor in this full time hands-on supervisory position, you will work with other Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to care and coordinate programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential group homes.

Job Responsibilities: SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibilities include the oversight of a group home, this includes budget and records keeping, scheduling staff, assessment of residents and assisting individuals with their self-help, daily living and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes but not limited to):

• Ensures that the site is safe, clean, and secure at all times.
• Ensures that all records and charting are up to date and accurate.
• Supervises Residential Program Workers assigned to the site.
• Trains all workers assigned to the site.
• Provides feedback to staff on performance and recommends corrective action to the Program Specialist if necessary.
• Ensures that work-related information is disseminated accurately and timely from site to office and office to site.
• Supervising Direct Care Staff – scheduling, disciplines, and holding monthly staff meetings.
• Verifies the accuracy of hours worked by direct care staff and makes appropriate corrections/notations.
• Abides by company policies and procedures which require efficient utilization of staff.
• Are able to cover shifts as needed.
• Reports concerns and makes recommendations of Individual issues to the Program Specialist.
• Provides social, emotional, and environmental supports to ensure the happiness, health, and safety of the Individuals.
• Provides support in activities of daily living such as personal hygiene and appropriate dress; assures that each consumer participates in social/leisure/recreational activities.
• Assists with internal licensing inspections and preparation for annual state licensing.
• Understands and participates in developing and implementing individual treatment plan (Outcomes) for each Individual.
• Schedules appointments for services.
• Ensures that accurate medication administration procedures are followed through close monitoring; takes corrective action if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
