What’s a typical day as a Facility Maintenance Technician? You’ll be:
• Using various hand tools to maintain, repair, and install building systems and equipment.
• Performing inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Assisting with plumbing installations and repairs.
• Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
• Assisting with boiler and compressed air system maintenance.
• Performing carpentry tasks and painting as needed.
• Maintaining equipment records and ordering parts.
• Operating a forklift and scissor lift for various tasks.
• Following safety regulations and using personal protective equipment.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have knowledge of maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Possess carpentry skills.
• Can read and understand schematics, manuals, building plans, codes, and safety regulations.
