Unipec America Inc is Hiring a Gasoline Blending Scheduler Near Houston, TX

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Gasoline Blending Scheduler to join our team. The Product Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling the delivery of refinery products and other bulk products like biofuels and petrochemical feedstock by waterborne or pipeline transportation to third-party and company locations to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate pipeline, barge, and/or tanker movements for appropriate timing, batch size, and sequence of product shipments to optimize the supply of the available products from refineries and terminals, while also minimizing transportation costs and ensuring quality. 
  • Blend Gasoline Components and work with Trader to meet quality specifications.
  • Monitor inventories at terminals and refineries daily and adjust logistics schedules to avoid shortages and the use of excess working capital.
  • Develop/improve scheduling methods to efficiently utilize company resources, optimize inventory levels, and minimize transportation costs as well as coordinate the communications between terminals, risk, marketing, exchange, and product quality regarding any inventory or operational issues. 
  • Waterborne operations, FOB/DAP/CIF/CFR internationally with a focus in USGC, Asia, UK & Latin America.
  • Work with Traders, operations manager & back office for new business for pipeline and gasoline.
  • Responsible for confirming the price and volume of all payables and receivables with our counterparts.
  • Create invoices for all receivables & payables.
  • Initiate the process for financial instruments, Payment Undertakings, Stand by LC’s & Documentary LCs and work with our credit/finance department.
  • Responsible for month-end P&L reconciliation. 
  • Handle claims with our counterparts.
  • Provide backup to other schedulers and interact with our risk management groups to answer questions.
  • Interact with our back office to positively manage the settlement process with third parties.

Requirements

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 
  • 3 years of commodities scheduling and relevant industry experience.
  • Refinery planning and/or operations experience in Gasoline is preferred. 
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work well without supervision.
  • Occasional cross-border travel may be required.
