The Work:

Uncommon Architects engages in a wide array of projects including institutional, religious, retail, residential, commercial office, healthcare, and multifamily residential. The Office:

Our office, located in Midvale’s historic Main Street Business District, operates with a hybrid model that accommodates both in-office and remote workdays. This flexibility supports our commitment to a healthy work-life balance while still allowing for in-person collaboration.

The Candidate:

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Office Administrator / Business Coordinator who can manage multiple operational and administrative aspects of our business. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage bookkeeping, payroll, HR duties, and potentially contribute to marketing and proposal writing. The ideal candidate should align with our firm’s commitment to diversity and innovation.

Required Qualifications:

· Experience with bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, and human resources

· Proficiency in: QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

· Experience in marketing, social media management, or graphic design

· Proficiency in: Adobe Creative Suite, Monograph, or Google Suite

· Understanding of employee benefits and HR laws

· Experience in proposal writing and project presentations

· Understanding of professional service firms, particularly the AEC industry
