Job description
Rug Doctor is hiring for a Quality Control Inspector in our Manufacturing Warehouse in Fenton, MO. The Quality Control Inspector will quickly and efficiently assess incoming products when unpacking shipments. The Quality Control Inspector also prepares finished products for outgoing shipments. This position requires the understanding of how to inspect products, use tools for measurement, work with other departments to maintain product quality and are complying with Rug Doctor requirements. They will also record inspection results by completing reports, summarizing information and inputting data into Rug Doctor enterprise database and providing input on quality control measures to improve product excellence and customer experience.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is trainable, has a good work and attendance history, has excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail. This candidate should have knowledge of basic computer skills. This is a physical position requiring continuous standing and kneeling, along with lifting up to 50-70 pounds at times.
Essential Functions:
· Using gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products
· Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
· Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly
· Maintain a safe and clean work area in compliance with Rug Doctor Lean and Safety standards
· Performs other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· 1-3 Years of related experience in industrial quality control
· Proficient in MS Office Suite – Excel and Word
· Excellent written and verbal skills
