Leave of Absence & Benefits Specialist

Our client, located in Downtown Portland has an immediate need for a LOA & Benefits Specialist to jump in and support their professional employee base and be a part of a strong and close-knit team.

A day in the life:

• Administer and maintain employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, employee assistance, and other benefits
• Manage and administer leave of absence programs, such as FMLA, ADA, and PTO
• Process enrollments, changes, terminations, and claims for the benefits programs
• Perform benefits audits and reconciliations and ensure accuracy of data and payments Coordinate and assist with benefits orientations, open enrollment, and wellness events

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

• 2 years of benefits administration and leave of absence experience required
• Extensive knowledge of employee health benefits and applicable laws
• Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
• Strong MS Office skills

About the company:

Multi-state engineering company with 380 employees. This role will report to the Director of Benefits and Compensation and serve on a dedicated team of HR professionals.

Compensation: $35 – $38 per hour
