Job Summary:
As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting engineering activities by assisting in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of various systems and products. Working closely with engineers and other technical professionals, you will contribute to the implementation of projects and ensure the efficient functioning of equipment and processes. This position requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate in a dynamic engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support in the assembly, installation, and troubleshooting of engineering systems and components.
Testing and Evaluation: Conduct tests and experiments, collect and analyze data, and assist in the evaluation of prototypes and products to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests, procedures, and outcomes. Generate technical reports and contribute to the documentation of engineering processes.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of engineering equipment and tools to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to contribute insights and suggestions for the improvement of designs, processes, and project outcomes.
Prototyping: Participate in the fabrication and assembly of prototypes, assisting in the refinement of designs based on testing and feedback.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in engineering technology, electronics, or a related field.
Proven hands-on experience with engineering tools, equipment, and testing procedures.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with relevant software tools and applications.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of CAD software for basic design work.
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
Experience in the assembly and testing of electronic components.
