Centene is Hiring a Payroll Tax Accountant Near KANSAS CITY, MO

Applicants for this role will need to come into the Clayton, MO office about once a month.
Position Purpose: Prepare, review and process tax filings, and process state tax credit reports and filing.
- Maintain federal, state, and local tax rates by Federal Employer ID Number (FEIN).
- Prepare tax accruals for future tax liabilities.
- Complete W-2 C's and prepare reconciliations to send to tax service to complete amendment.
- Complete registration applications, and other reports/reconciliations as needed.
- Prepare tax calculations for tax provision and tax returns.
- Prepare state credit calculations.
- Research information for federal and state tax audits.
- Tax planning and special projects as needed.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years payroll tax experience.
- Previous accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and ADP preferred.
