East Cambridge Savings Bank’s Facilities Department is actively recruiting for a

Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

Function:

Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President - Purchasing and Facilities Manager, assists in organizing and coordinating the activities of facilities, maintenance and overall appearance for all Bank locations and ATM facilities.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A valid driver’s license with a good Registry of Motor Vehicles report
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • 3 years general Facilities experience
  • Ability to travel to all locations, and as needed, respond to after-hours calls on-site in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills which includes having the ability to respond to emails and utilize the internet as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work additional hours as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for general maintenance, upkeep and preservation of all of the Bank facilities, grounds, and facility equipment. Assists with managing outside contractors which includes monitoring work through completion, maintaining records and contracts. Performs minor repairs to buildings, replaces light bulbs, adjusts equipment, paints, etc. Maintains clean and safe facilities at all times which includes sidewalks during winter months, activating sidewalk heating system, shoveling, and spreading snow melt.
  • Assists with negotiating contracts and evaluating performance of servicers and vendors including snow removal, ground maintenance, trash disposal, etc. Makes recommendations to AVP-Purchasing and Facilities Manager for changes as needed.
  • Conducts ongoing preventive maintenance programs through various service contracts on major equipment. Provides AVP-Purchasing and Facilities Manager with information necessary for service contract negotiation.
  • Assists with the Bank’s record retention program. Transports records to be stored in the records room and obtains approval from the respective Department Manager. Labels records for destruction, verifies destruction date and coordinates the destruction of Bank files as needed.
  • In the absence of the AVP - Purchasing and Facilities Manager, monitors bank wide purchasing and facilities projects, keeping senior management informed of status.
  • Assists with creating the annual budget and monitoring expenses throughout the year to ensure that costs for supplies, electricity, gas water, contracts, postage and services are within budgetary guidelines.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Operations Center and Main Office buildings are opened following established security procedures as needed.
  • Keeps abreast of various laws and regulations regarding OSHA, ADA, various health codes, etc. Informs AVP-Purchasing and Facilities Manager of potential compliance issues at any of the Bank’s facilities.
  • Responsible for responding to incoming calls on Bank cell phone in regards to emergencies and facilities requests/inquiries.
  • Coordinates mail pickup from postal service and distributes to internal Departments or Banking Centers as needed.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs related administrative and facilities duties as required.
  • Performs related custodial work as required.
