Responsibilities Ready to make an impact? Peraton has an exciting opportunity for a skilled software developer to help with the development of our current projects. You will oversee the entire software life-cycle, including designing individual parts, performing maintenance, and deploying upgrades. The Software Development, Senior Associate will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
* Build software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interface
* Direct system testing, validation procedures, and work with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance
* Work with other developers, IT professionals and product managers throughout the software development life cycle
* Extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life cycles including but not limited to Agile Framework
* Work independently throughout the development process of a particular project
* Observe user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
* Develop technical documentation
Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI Clearance with ability to obtain a poly
* 2 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in developing and implementing software applications, or 6 years of experience in lieu of degreeDesired Qualifications: * Security certification
* Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
* Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. C , Java, JavaScript) and frameworks/systems (e.g. AngularJS, Git)
* Experience with databases
* Ability to learn new languages and technologies
* Excellent communication skills
* Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
