Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating power press machines to bend, form, stretch, and straighten metal plates and sheet metal.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a variety of press brakes to bend or straighten metal workpieces according to specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine the appropriate set-up
- Inspect workpieces to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Skills:
- Proficiency in using micrometers and other precision measuring instruments
- Experience working with sheet metal and various hand tools
- Familiarity with press brake machines
- Ability to program press brake machines for specific tasks
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus
