Overview

We are searching for a materials handler to join our night-shift shipping team. This individual will be responsible for shipping, receiving, and properly storing merchandise to ensure efficient retrieval. The materials handler will coordinate with stakeholders to ensure our product is where it needs to be at the proper time of distribution.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for shipping, receiving and storing merchandise in a safe and proper manner.
• Participate in the loading and unloading of materials while paying close attention to detail.
• Utilize the appropriate methods when packing, labeling, shipping, and receiving running boards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Efficiently coordinate workings with internal and external workers of the company.
• Check in damaged goods and wrong order returns.
• Follow up with UPS and FedEx returns to ensure proper credit is given as needed.
• Re-box undamaged, returned materials for reuse.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic with a desire to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must follow safety procedures and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Commitment to personal and professional growth.

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit, stand, turn, bend, and lift packages up to 50 pounds.
• Standing and walking throughout the duration of shift is required.
• Repetitive use of hands and fingers; able to reach with hands and arms; and use of vision.
