Addison Group is Hiring an Electrical Distribution Designer Near Spring, TX
Required Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Ability to represent self professionally in both M&S and the client’s image while meeting with property owners, other engineering firms and construction resources.
- Ability to stay abreast with the changing technologies, work planning, and design methodologies associated with Electric Distribution Design.
- Ability to mentor and/or train others staff members to transfer personal design knowledge to others.
- Proficient with the design of both overhead and underground electric distribution facilities.
- Ability to recognize electric distribution framing and components 4kV through 35kV, to initiate designs for construction or reconstruction of both overhead and underground distribution facilities.
- Ability to perform distribution line design calculations for structure loading, guying, geometric angle calculations, conductor sag interpretation, unitized framing design, construction practices and construction safety guidelines using industry tools and methods.
- Prefer an Associate’s degree or certificate in Electric Power Technology and/or three (3) years’ prior experience with electric distribution design and estimation.
- Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems.
- Experience in joint construction and electric utility best practices.
