Trout CPA, a full-service certified public accounting firm, is seeking a Senior Associate in our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice. Our TAS practice serves both corporate and private equity clients in providing boutique buy-side and sell-side M&A advisory services. These services include financial due diligence (Quality of Earnings), net working capital analysis, structuring and valuation guidance, pre-transaction preparation engagements, and post-acquisition assistance.

The successful candidate will be :

• Participating in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements
• Communicating with internal team members and external clients
• Preparing comprehensive financial databooks in Excel
• Analyzing financial information, including trends, ratios, metrics, and other analytical observations
• Preparing Quality of Earnings (QoE) reports in PowerPoint with the assistance of internal team

Desired Skills and Experience :

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
  • CPA designation or significant progress towards CPA designation
• 2-5 years of experience in public accounting
  • Preference to those with prior TAS or Assurance experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet unpredictable deadlines
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets. Ability to use common formulas, such as: xlookup, vlookup, hlookup, sumifs, index-match, pivot tables, and power query.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint
• Intellectual curiosity and an ability to concisely communicate key findings in a written report with supporting graphs and exhibits
• Comfortable navigating inconsistent accounting records and identifying material issues
• High attention to detail
• Team player
