Position at XOJET Aviation LLC

The Assistant Chief Pilot (ACP) reports to the Chief Pilot with the primary mission to set an example of proactive and caring leadership that inspires the pilots and various teams to rise to the challenge and make a difference.

The ACP will be a standards bearer at all times and will exhibit high levels of integrity. The ACP is an integral part of developing and maintaining our culture of leaders and mentors through the pilot group.

The ACP interacts with internal staff at all levels; manages and facilitates the dissemination of information, training curricula, feedback and information through the various pilot teams assigned with specific goals; facilitation of the Standards Captains and Check Pilots, in coordination with the Chief Pilot and Director of Training.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary responsibilities require line flying while providing leadership directed by the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations
  • Secondary responsibilities:
    • 14-15 days per month at our FXE operations center (or other designated office location as directed by the Chief Pilot or Director of Operations) Approximately 8 days per month operating as an XOJET/VistaJet pilot.
    • Flying duties may include: mentoring and evaluating individual pilots as assigned by the Chief Pilot, covering for unplanned crew extensions, covering for crews with duty/rest issues, covering for a sick crew member. While at the designated office, duties may include:
      • Helping crews with aircraft pre-flight, deice, repositioning
      • Client interface coordinating with onsite XOJET/ VistaJet maintenance FSS or vendors. Coordinating with FBO’s to provide our standard of service
      • Other tasks as required and assigned by Chief Pilot or Director of Operations
    • Provides coverage of on-call CPO phone line
    • Coordinates with Scheduling for crew pairings and transitions
    • Provides feasibility review and support for OCC, Aviation Advisors and crews
    • Assists with mentoring, monitoring and progression of new hire and upgrading pilots
    • Serves as subject matter expert for creation of company information, bulletins, FCIF’s, SIF’s and required documents
    • Participates in flight observations for performance issues and report these to the Chief Pilot
    • Implements approved recommendations of the Standards, Training & Safety Teams
    • Participates in Operations calls and assists the Director of Operations in execution of the Emergency Response Plan
    • Assists with operational (non-employee) management
    • Assists with coordinating and providing assistance in potential employee investigations, but does not directly supervise pilots from a disciplinary standpoint
    • Serves as a member of the Flight Safety Team and promotes Safety Management System (SMS)
      1. Allocates resources to sustain risk management activities
      2. Identifies and evaluates safety hazards
      3. Takes action to eliminate hazards or reducing risk to an acceptable level
      4. Investigates accidents and serious incidents
      5. Adopts appropriate best industry practices
      6. Promotes aviation safety including the exchange of safety related information.
    • Assists the Director of Operations on all issues related to Operational Control, aircraft safety and quality. 
    • Coordinates with the Director of Training on all issues related to training and checking events
    • Assists the Chief Pilot and Director of Flight Standards on all issues related to flight deck policies, procedures and training.
    • Assists the Chief Pilot with oversight and support of the Operations Duty Officer Program
    • Reviews all Pilot Evaluations with the Standards Captains and Pilots on a yearly basis
    • Ensures adherence to the GOM, FSM, Company issued Operations Specifications and GTM
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Impeccable safety record
  • FAA First Class Medical
  • ATP rated or Commercial rated with ATP written complete
  • Restricted Radiotelephone Operators Permit
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Ability to work in an ever changing fast-pace environment
  • Excellent team management skills
  • Excellent client service skills
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be type rated in Challenger 300/350
  • 3500 Total Flying Time
  • 1500 PIC Total Time
  • 1500 Multi-Engine (MEL) Total Time
  • 1500 Turbine Total Time
