The Designer will fulfill a multitude of duties related to the design of photovoltaic power generation systems and energy storage systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
Work with a team of designers driven to share knowledge, increase efficiency, and elevate the consistent accuracy of deliverables.
Produce, review, and edit full plan sets, demonstrating compliance with applicable codes and all reviewing agency expectations.
Analyze and collate an abundance of information which dictates how a particular project should be designed.
Validate existing and new equipment to support PV and ESS systems.
Draw and manipulate 3D models of buildings, displaying the location of photovoltaic module arrays, related equipment, property features.
Assemble electrical 3-line schematics which detail exact points of connection, equipment, conductors, conduits, and overcurrent protection.
Draft elevation views of existing buildings and create superimposed renderings of equipment views.
Qualifications & Experience
3 years of experience in a related industry.
Familiarity with drafting programs.
Familiarity with National Electrical Code and building code requirements.
Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.
Experience with residential electrical service equipment.
Basic AC/DC electrical knowledge.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to establish priorities and adapt quickly to changes.
