Description:

* Processes instruments and other materials for distribution in a timely manner without errors.
* Properly documents all necessary information and labels items correctly.
* Follows all Universal Precaution guidelines regarding the handling of contaminated items.
* Has knowledge of all phases of sterilization including Steam and Sterrad and biological
monitoring.
* Demonstrates the ability to properly use all equipment in SPD (Steam and Sterrad), washing
sterilizers, heat sealers, computer system).
* Assembles a minimum of four instrument trays per hour.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Graduation from a Central Services Technician course preferred.
* Minimum of one(1) year of previous experience in this job classification preferred.
* Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization is required.
* Computer knowledge required.
* Good interpersonal skills necessary
* Performs all duties of an SPD Tech I.
* Certification required or obtained within 6 months of employment.
