The primary role of the Industrial Operations Maintenance Manager is to oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery including large 2,500hp shredders, conveyors, material handlers, and processing equipment. This role will also oversee the maintenance of buildings and grounds, provide leadership and guidance to maintenance employees, and ensure adherence to high performance standards and safety regulations. This position will require evening hours when necessary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow all safety rules and procedures and manage the operations to ensure a safe environment.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules for industrial machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Oversee the maintenance of buildings and grounds, ensuring all areas are in compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
Evaluate, train, and coach Maintenance Technicians, providing leadership and technical expertise.
Conduct bi-annual performance appraisals for maintenance staff.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, gas, and diesel systems in industrial equipment, using both manual and power tools.
Review and approve quotes for outsourced repairs and equipment purchases, ensuring the work has been completed satisfactorily.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Oversee the setup and adjustment of machinery as per operational requirements.
Inspect and verify the functionality of safety systems and controls on equipment.
Establish and maintain a parts inventory for essential machinery components.
Track and refine the preventative maintenance program to improve long-term equipment reliability.
Recommend upgrades and modifications for improving equipment efficiency and handling capabilities.
Evaluate and advise on potential new equipment acquisitions.

Requirements Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
5 years of industrial maintenance experience
5 years of supervisory experience
Skills and Knowledge
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, gas, and diesel systems.
Experience with implementing and managing maintenance systems and preventative maintenance programs.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards and compliance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to comprehend technical manuals and maintain documentation.
Proven attention to detail and reliability in attendance.
Skilled in acetylene and electric arc welding.
WORKING CONDITIONS This role is carried out in an industrial environment, both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
