Evanoff Dental is Hiring a Dental Office Receptionist | Patient Care Coordinator Near Muskegon, MI

We are looking to add a 3rd full time patient care coordinator to our team. We have experienced intentional growth with our practice, and we now have a new facility to accommodate that growth. Responsibilities may include:

Patient Care Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments in consideration of production and capacity.
  • Coordinate care with specialists’ office: send x-rays and explanatory letter and provide referral information to patient.
  • Present treatment plan(s).
  • Connect with new patients and call existing patients with overdue hygiene care.
  • Fill cancellations that may appear in the schedule.

Records Management Responsibilities

  • Document all necessary data into patients charts clearly and accurately regarding the patient’s appointment.
  • See that the sensitive material is not left exposed at the front desk.
  • Scan and maintain digital records.

Insurance Responsibilities

  • Ensures coordination of benefits are accurate.
  • Responsible for insurance verifications and accurate communications to team and patients regarding the insurance coverage.
  • Enter new insurance information in computer and call for verification and benefit information.
  • Create and process dental insurance claims.
  • Organize supporting materials for claim forms, such as radiographs and written narratives.
  • Submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits.

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities

  • Present financial options for patient treatment (CareCredit).
  • Process payments from patients.
  • Resolve any account balances with patients and follow-up on delinquent accounts.
  • Send delinquent accounts to collection agency and manage payments that are received from collection agency.

General Skills and Knowledge

  • Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Multi-line phone system, computer, printer, fax and scanner.
  • Ability to learn and master new concepts and software quickly.
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with financial plans and insurance.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess high level of ownership, accountability and initiative.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Maintain courteous and professional rapport with patients and team.
  • Ability to adapt to office policy improvements (office is constantly striving for improved customer care/service).
  • Conflict resolution experience and exhibits a positive attitude to overcome common patient objections/rejections.
  • Possess a friendly, outgoing and motivated personality.
  • Exercise good judgment and sound decision-making ability.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1-2 years dental insurance or billing experience.
  • Knowledge about Eaglesoft Dental Software is a plus.

Practice Hours

  • Monday – Thursday from 7:30AM – 4:00PM
