Addax Electric is Hiring a Low Voltage Technician Near Los Angeles, CA

Low Voltage Technician

Overview:

Addax Electric is currently seeking a Low Voltage Technician to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time position, with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday, varying from 6:00am – 4:30pm and various jobsite locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain low voltage equipment and wiring in commercial buildings and industrial facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform physical requirements unaided or with reasonable accommodations.
  • Maintain regular and prompt attendance in the workplace.
  • Follow oral and written directions. Communicate effectively in writing and speech.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, guidelines and rules. (OSHA, PPE, ETC.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to use power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, etc., as needed to perform work specified in a job description or order.
  • Have reliable tools and transportation.
  • Must have a working knowledge to full understanding of local/national codes.
  • Must be able to read plans, use a variety of tools and have experience installing panels, boxes and wiring accordingly.
  • This position requires knowledge of OSHA, and National, State and Local construction electrical codes.
  • Lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs at waist height for short distances.
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs at waist height for short distances.
  • Occasionally lift 50 lbs overhead for short distances.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of trade tools.
  • Walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Push/pull up to 100 lbs. at shoulder height.
  • Bend at the waist, kneel, crawl, crouch, and stoop.
  • Reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.
  • Climb ladders and work from heights.·

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $38.00 per hour
