The Assistant Director may also support the certification of benefit-eligible students for the Omaha-based OMVA as needed.

At all times employees are expected to uphold Creighton's core values and demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment, while adhering to all University Ethical Standards of Conduct, rules, regulations, and job requirements, including required educational trainings.

  • Review and determine student eligibility based on documentation and interactive process. Conduct intakes (interactive interviews) and evaluation of academic, clinical, physical, and student employee accommodation requests. Provide support to SAS-registered students as needed.
  • Collaborate, communicate, educate, and consult with faculty and staff on implementation of academic and clinical/practicum/field experience accommodation plans.
  • Within the confines of the Success Center, coordinate, schedule, and collaborate with the PHSC Academic Success team and SAS Graduate
  • Assistant to proctor accommodated exams. Supervise the PHSC SAS Graduate Assistant.
  • Serve as the school certifying official (SCO) to the Phoenix-based OMVA for all benefit-eligible students. Prepare all student and University records for routine compliance surveys and coordinate specific program and University related documentation for the PHSC annually and upon request of the Arizona State Approving Agency (SAA) and the OMVA.
  • Contribute to Student Success divisional efforts that support the persistence, retention, and overall success of Creighton students as needed.
