Group Director of Product Marketing, Retail Media

Overview:

The Retail Media team at Trade School is one of our fastest growing business units. We’re continuing to invest in building the most talented team to scale our Retail Media practice. Trade School is focused on the sell side of retail media networks; we have a passion to help retailers strategically build their media networks.

Our team is built to act as an extension to our client’s Retail Media team, such as The Home Depot, to play a role in building a media network that’s beneficial to their company and their advertiser partners. Trade School services include executive consultation, monetization strategy, product marketing, sales enablement, marketing & public relations and more.

The Group Director of Product Marketing, Retail Media will partner with The Home Depot Orange Apron Media leaders to grow adoption and education of their Onsite, Offsite and In-Store Network advertising solutions through the development of product marketing strategies for internal and external use cases.

You will contribute to the development of product marketing strategies, assist in crafting product positioning and messaging, participate in defining and implementing go-to-market strategies.

The ultimate goal is to empower revenue-generating teams through packaging product and sales enablement materials during a time of rapid growth. This will be achieved through collaboration with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at Trade School and The Home Depot.

This role will report directly to the Executive Director, Retail Media at Trade School.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary client partner to support product marketing and sales enablement strategy and execution of all deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing and Sales to develop product value propositions for internal and external uses driving adoption and growth of ad products across all tiers of advertisers
  • Bring forward strategic thought leadership and operational rigor across key stakeholders with a goal of driving complex work forward
  • Simplify marketing narratives of intricate product suites by understanding strategic prioritization, marketplace needs and performance impact
  • Build sales training materials to empower all sales teams (small business, mid size, strategic partnerships)
  • Relationship management of Offsite partners (Google, Pinterest, Meta, TTD, etc.) to ensure relevancy and synergy with product marketing and sales enablement materials
  • Stay current with retail media market trends, technologies and the digital landscape to inform product strategy, sales enablement and marketing communications
  • Use qualitative & quantitative insights to grow the impact of product marketing
  • Support sales and supplier feedback loops to inform product and marketing development
  • Define key metrics for success and track progress to goals
  • Demonstrate strong leadership at Trade School while becoming a trusted advisor to our clients reaching the maximum potential of our capabilities

Desired Requirements:

  • 10 years experience in product marketing with experience in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of impacting revenue through GTM strategies for a media network
  • Experience in developing successful product strategies, GTM strategies and sales enablement materials for digital products or services (Retail Media preferred)
  • Track record of driving innovation and bringing new products to market for a media network
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative working style
  • Proven experience in strategic leadership, implementing projects with excellence
  • Working knowledge of Digital Media platforms (Display, Streaming, Native, Social).
    • Google, Meta, Pinterest, various DSPs and self-serve retail media platforms
