Touching Hearts at Home - Omaha is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Caregiver in Fort Calhoun. As a caregiver, you will provide in-home care and assistance to elderly and disabled clients, allowing them to maintain their independence and live comfortably in their own homes. The ideal candidate must have a caring nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different caregiving situations.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a part-time, hourly position with a competitive compensation rate of $14 to $16 per hour, based on experience. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication reminders
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations and activities with clients
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands, as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided
- Report any changes in client's condition to the Care Manager or supervisor
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred
- CNA certification or healthcare-related experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
