Job SummaryAs a Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, building, and supporting software applications. You will be a part of our dynamic team where you will apply your expertise in gathering, documenting, understanding, and articulating functional and non-functional already defined business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Gather, document, understand, and articulate functional, non-functional and business requirements that are already defined.
- Design and develop software applications and related components both independently and as part of a team.
- Perform unit, regression and integrations testing for application changes to ensure high quality.
- Track and monitor production systems for issue identification and prevention across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Research and troubleshoot issues across different functional teams in order to rectify system problems in a timely manner.
- Communicate status updates with team members and leaders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Becomes familiar with Alfa’s interconnected technology framework and systems in order to understand impact of software changes.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area of study related to Computer Science or Mathematics is required.
- Experience in C#, ASP, MVC, JavaScript, AngularJS, JQuery, HTML, XML, JSON, Web Services, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server.
- Proven experience in various SDLC components. Knows when to use different methodologies and how to effectively manage each.
- Competent communication skills, including clear and timely communication on business issues and assignments with peers, management, and product owners.
- Ability to quickly learn and comprehend insurance-related topics and relate that knowledge to the development process.
