Job Summary:
We are seeking a Shipper to join our team. As a Shipper, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipment of products. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently using an order picker or forklift
- Load and unload shipments from trucks or containers
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels
- Utilize a warehouse management system to track inventory and manage orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet shipping deadlines
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
- Proficient in basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, etc.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills
