The Teacher Assistant works with teachers to promote the education and social development of the children. The Teacher Assistant helps present and reinforce learning concepts. Report to the Director, or in her absence, the Team Leader. TLC learning Center is a non-profit ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Essential Duties:

• Assisting teachers in planning and preparing daily activities; aids instructional efforts of teacher.
• Assisting teachers in classroom and playgroup.
• Substituting in the classrooms.
• Coordination of nap time preparations.
• Preparing morning and afternoon snack.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Participating in all mandatory programs and events (ie Christmas/Spring Program)
• Attend and participate in a mandatory staff meeting and all mandatory trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Eligible for City of Coeur d’Alene childcare provider card
• Childcare/teaching experience, preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
