The Assistant Warehouse Manager will provide support to the Warehouse Manager by managing a variety of general warehouse activities in an accurate, efficient and cost-effective manner.

***Responsibilities:***

* Responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in the successful and timely flow of production work and oversee all work that has been set-up.

* Responsible for working with the Warehouse Manager to ensure timely shipping and receiving of all orders.

* Fill in for Warehouse Manager when he is out.

* Monitor and provide quality assurance of finished products, and ensure deliver deadlines are met.

* Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized warehouse.

* Ensure safe working conditions including properly training employees on proper safety methods.

* Assist Human Resources with the management of worker compensation claims.

* Audit various paperwork and postings for accuracy and compliance with appropriate local, state and federal laws, statutes and company policies.

* Support Warehouse Manager with effectively managing employee attendance, performance and/or misconduct.

* Assist with continuous employee training and development.

* Assist the Warehouse Manager with scheduling the maintenance and repairs of all warehouse-related equipment.

* Additional tasks as assigned.

***Requirements:***

* High School diploma or equivalent; Degree Preferred

* Five years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

* 5 years' experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, in a Manufacturing or Distribution atmosphere

* Knowledge of local, state and federal OSHA safety regulations

* Experience in forklift certification and inspection, operating various warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.)

* Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift

* Must have strong leadership and organizational skills including conflict resolution

* Ability to work a flexible work schedule with a "hands-on" management style

* Must be detail orientated and a team player; Excellent oral and written skills; driven to excel

* Basic Computer skills
