Thunder Valley Casino Resort is Hiring an Audio Visual Technician Near Lincoln, CA

Overview:

The Audio/Visual Technician I is responsible for the delivery of Audio/Visual equipment and services to all information technology customers. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:
  • Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resorts Winning Attitude company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
  • Assist in the delivery of audio/visual services to customers including set-up, testing, and operation of equipment.
  • Assist in the installation of audio/visual racks, cabling, head end equipment, speakers, and all other audio/visual system equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust television programming, music selections, and in-house programming in public and back-of-house areas.
  • Assist in the transportation of equipment from meeting rooms and event locations to dedicated storage locations with respect to time constraints and inventory control.
  • Assist outside performers and in-house promotions staff in the set-up, tear down, and testing of equipment and systems.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to diagnose audio/visual equipment problems.
  • Actively monitor the problem management database to ensure that all customer requests are handled in a timely and accurate fashion. Review and complete assignments given by the Audio/Visual Manager.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and inventory of all audio/visual equipment.
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge by completing departmental training requirements and participating in external training opportunities.
  • Maintain understanding of Audio/Visual department goals and service expectations, and assist the Audio/Visual team in achieving department goals on a consistent basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • One (1) year audio/visual experience in a hotel and conference environment.
  • One (1) year of experience with commercial audio, video, and videoconferencing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with general wiring, rack building, general and specific assembly, and electronic testing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Working technical knowledge of systems and system operations and infrastructure.
  • Professional customer service and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, user community, fellow Team Members, vendors, and the general public.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Must be able to manage several different tasks at once.
  • Must be capable of working effectively under pressure and time constraints.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to lift, maneuver, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or walk continuously for two (2) hours or more.
  • Requires the ability to use and carry job related equipment.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, push, turn, reach, carry, and pull.
  • Ability to working in dimly lit conditions and a noisy and smoky environment.
