Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Reconciles accounts receivable & accounts payable, bank accounts and inventory sub ledgers.
• Understands and is able to prepare payroll setup, submission, review and journal entries.
• Calculates finance charges, commissions, bonuses, etc.
• Tracks fixed assets and computes depreciation.
• Assists CAAS client team in the preparation of customer financial statements.
• Downloading/entry of revenues/expenses from banks and/or 3rd party applications and review for accuracy.
• Completes analysis projects as requested.
• Prepares sales tax returns, payroll tax returns, property tax returns, and CAT.
• Understands accounting issues and other operational issues experienced by clients in that industry.
• Works accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision, while still meeting budgets and deadlines.
• Handles all types of client engagements efficiently, timely and professionally.
• Performs administrative requirements of engagement.

Qualified candidates will have the following knowledge and skills:

• Ability to conduct basic accounting research.
• Able to identify and troubleshoot transactional accounting issues in the engagement.
• High level of project management skills to ensure deadlines are met on multiple client engagements.
• Knowledge of Quick Books On-line and Bill.com.
• Ability to learn various accounting software.
• Experienced Microsoft Windows user – Word, Excel, Outlook & Adobe.
• Time management skills.
• Client relationship building.
• Collaborative with clients, CAAS department and Firm employees.
• Cooperative team player.

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting (required).
• CPA/CMA or CPA/CMA candidate (preferred)

Working Conditions:

• Business hours Monday through Friday, firm core hours are 10am – 4pm. May be subject to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends when necessary.
• Equipment used: computer, telephone, copier and scanner.
• Attends and participates in continuing educational programs designed to keep abreast of changes in the profession.
• Essential demands include sitting at a desk, working on a computer for long periods of time and using a telephone to communicate with internal and external clients and the general public. Minimal lifting.
