Hours include Monday and Tuesday mornings and afternoons, weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Responsibilities:
- Decorate cakes according to customer requests and specifications
- Create visually appealing designs using various cake decorating techniques
- Package finished cakes for display and delivery
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely and accurate cake orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the kitchen
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines

-Cleaning including dishes, mopping the store, taking trash out, cleaning windows, cleaning refrigeration.
- Scale, portion, and bake a variety of items including muffins, cupcakes, cake, gluten free and vegan items.
Skills:
- Proficient in cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant, and icing
- Knowledge of different cake flavors, fillings, and frostings
- Ability to use various tools and equipment such as cake knives, spatulas, and decorating tips
- Familiarity with kitchen operations in a restaurant or food production setting
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in designing cakes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines for cake orders
- Knowledge of culinary principles and techniques related to baking and pastry
Note: Prior experience in the food industry or culinary education is required.
Other Responsibilities:
Decorating cake and cupcakes.
Scaling and mixing buttercream.
Making edible decorations out of buttercream, royal icing, and Fondant.
Running the cash register, waiting on customers, taking orders, executing orders.
Kitchen clean up and store clean up including dishes, sanitizing surfaced, and mopping.
Understand food safety practices, quality control, waste management, and time management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to focus on task at hand.
Have a positive, customer service focused attitude.
Be attentive to detail and executing proper quality while practicing efficiency.
This job includes mandatory Saturday morning.
