Advastar Inc is Hiring a Cost Accountant Near Lenexa, KS
The Cost Accountant will focusing on accurate product costing and inventory valuation in manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include collaborating with different departments, monthly closing activities, reporting, product cost analysis,, and margin analysis.
- Anticipate $75,000 annually ( /-, BOE)
- Onsite, M-F, 7-4 or 8-5 (some flexibility)
- Full suite of benefits
- Monitoring overhead and labor costs
- Compiling operational finance reports
- Completing month-end tasks
- Reconciling balance sheets monthly
- Handling inventory-related journal entries
- Assisting in preparing budget reports
- Coordinating inventory control and cycle counts
- Managing Fixed Asset Schedules
- Investigating variances
- Performing assigned tasks
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, not required
- 5 years of relevant experience in similar role
- Manufacturing experience preferred, not required
- Familiarity with ERP/Acumatica advantageous
- Strong initiative and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented with analytical capabilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates teamwork and positive relationships
