Job Description

As Senior Agile Practices Lead, you will enable teams to achieve their ambitious goals, keeping projects focused, teams healthy and stakeholders informed. You will be involved with multiple teams delivering parts of an end-to-end solution. You are also focused on cross team collaboration and alignment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintain governance for various scrum teams 
  • Ensure all scrum ceremonies are run well, including planning sessions, standups, retrospectives, story refining sessions, and demos 
  • Ensure that the Agile Scrum management best practices are met
  • Be able to roll up and report the status for multiple projects for an executive view to assist with prioritization, status, and health of projects 
  • Be able to develop appropriate metrics and KPIs to monitor the health of the scrum teams and their deliveries 
  • Manage multiple integrated projects and dependencies concurrently
  • You have proven experience leading high-performing and innovative Agile teams 
  • Have the ability to apply broader Agile, Scrum, SAFe type practices to teams 
  • You are organized and quality focused 
  • Create an environment of successful delivery and continuous improvement by asking, listening, communicating, coaching and leading 
  • Be a change agent, constantly questioning value and driving through improvements 
  • You keep teams focused on results, growth and actionable feedback 
  • Lead and ontribute to the most appropriate methods and metrics to create transparency and predictability for the team, removing inefficiencies and team impediments 
  • Share your skills and experience through mentoring and coaching and encourage personal growth 
  • You are an experienced and diplomatic negotiator who is comfortable with uncertainty 
  • Ability to problem solve and find common ground in stakeholder differences
  • You are not afraid to make tough decisions or to ask for help 
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams 
  • Drive a “Quality First”, setting and maintaining high standards for you and your teams 
  • Understand how project goals correlate to the business strategy, customer value of team backlog, balancing breadth vs depth to inform good decision making 
  • Understand the vision, context and goals and help the team steer

  • Be calm under pressure and can clearly prioritize across competing demands

Qualifications

  • Ideally 10 years of professional experience working with product spfteware development teams 
  • Ideally 6 years of experience on software development teams 
  • Ideally 5 years working concurrently with multiple Agile teams as a Scrum Master and setting up best practices for Agile teams 
  • Experience with scrum of scrums and running Agile at large organizations
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices
  • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracing, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc
  • Experience with Agile team management tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jira to be able to create complex queries for KPIs for reporting. 
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Possesses conflict resolution ability
  • Experience reporting project status to senior management
  • Must demonstrate experience in managing and guiding large software projects 
  • Extensive experience working with developers, product managers, UXD, marketing, and sales teams 
  • Demonstrated success and experience leading teams with Agile methodologies and tools 
  • Knowledge of medical technology software delivery is a big plus. 
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, support and understand different project teams 

Additional Preferred Skills 

  • Agile Scrum Master Certification preferred and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) 
  • An advanced Scrum, Scrum Professional, Team/Enterprise Coaching Certification
