Job Description
The Senior Director of Enterprise Risk Management and Workers' Compensation at PIH Health oversees and strategizes risk management activities at PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital and encompassing the comprehensive management of the Workers' Compensation program across the enterprise. Collaborating with the organization's leadership, the role involves developing and implementing risk management plans, standardizing processes to manage patient adverse events, and transitioning to a proactive risk prevention model. By leading investigations into safety events, managing claims, and advancing patient safety and care quality initiatives, this role plays a crucial part in safeguarding the facility's assets. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management, this position is integral to driving strategic risk management efforts at PIH Health.

• Knowledge of pertinent regulations related to patients' rights statutory provisions including but not limited unrepresented patient medical decision making, California Probate and Business Professions codes on ineffective care and consent for medical care, mental health, and related psychiatric holds.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation rules and regulations, OSHA standards, FMLA and disability laws, short term, and long-term disability.

Required Experience
Required:

• RN license
• Bachelor's Degree
• A minimum of 5 years healthcare risk management experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports
• CPHRM required

Preferred:

• Master's degree
• Prior experience with worker's compensation program management.
