Housekeeping Personnel - Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Westin Jekyll Island Beach Resort is a 200-room resort brimming with classic southern charm and is on the beach in Jekyll Island. We are looking for a team player who is passionate about the hospitality industry and demonstrates an exceptional service oriented manner.

The selected candidate for this role will be reliable, have thorough attention to detail, demonstrate exceptional service, provide prompt responses to service requests, and uphold the brand's standards. Our culture is second to none.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES, WORK SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of back of the house and other facilities.
• Assist Room Attendants with maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms.
• Adhere to company standards and achieve high guest satisfaction.

Qualifications, Education & Experience Standards:

• Previous experience in housekeeping.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English.
• Carpet and Floor Care Experience
• The starting rate, based on experience, qualifications and schedule flexibility, is $15.00 per hour.
