The Villages is Hiring an Assistant Manager of Benefits Near The Villages, FL

Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True", this position plays an important role in creating a rewarding working environment for employees through the proficient use of benefits systems and execution of benefits processes. Accountable to the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for coordination of all employee benefit offerings, supporting administrative actions related to document processing, reporting, and billing, and coordinating with external vendors. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, effective time management, flexibility, empathy, sensitivity to confidential matters, and the ability to interact well with all levels of internal management and staff. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Implements, administers, and communicates programs including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary programs, wellness, FSA, EAP, COBRA, leave of absence
  • Support Benefit Specialist
  • Assist Open Enrollment, including HR system administration, data accuracy of benefit information, event planning, program renewals, communications, etc.
  • Manages relationships with brokers, consultants, insurers, and vendors to ensure timely customer service and accurate cost-effective plan administration
  • Ensures plan compliance with regulatory filings, notices, ACA mandates, plan audits, non-discrimination testing, etc.
  • Reviews and reconciles monthly premium billings
  • Prepares file feeds working with carriers and ADP
  • Identifies strategies to improve employee communication, education regarding the benefit programs and ongoing marketing of Benefits
  • Develops and implements progressive and innovative programs which promote employee health and wellness
  • FMLA, ADA, and LOA administration
  • STD, LTD, and life claims administration
  • Maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes
  • Maintains compliance under HIPAA
  • Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers and act as a contact for applicable benefits related questions
  • Conducts benefits portion of orientation and explains the benefits self-enrollment systems as well as special benefits orientations
  • Provides back-up support for benefits invoicing and all benefits related tasks
  • Processes HSA deductions, accounts into ADP and communicates with payroll
  • Supports the coordination of the administration of COBRA coverage
  • Track FMLA usage, eligibility, claims, and HSA's (ADP/Payroll)
  • Supports wellness initiatives both internally and externally
  • Coordinates and promotes wellness activities and programs
Supervisory Responsibilities: Regularly directs the work of two or more employees
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Benefits Administration experience
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now benefits system preferred
  • Must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as excellent written and oral communication skills
