Job DescriptionCompany DescriptionHester Group owns and operates five The UPS store locations. Stores are located in Leland, Wilmington, Goldsboro, Cary, and Carrboro. There are two primary area operations positions. One in the triangle and one in Wilmington area. Both area operations leaders will also travel to Goldsboro (Company vehicle provided). Area operations positions also require the availability to travel to any store in the company. A company vehicle is provided and per diem for day travel. On occasion, overnight travel is required.
As a locally owned and operated company, Area operations work closely with the owner. Hester Group strives to put leaders in a position to control thier own destiny. Leaders take an active role in strategizing marketing, in store training, operations, and product offerings. Leaders have a base pay with a signifitant bonus based on results.
Hester Group also strives to create a company that provides work life balance. Operations director typically have a 45 hour week with only occassional weekends. The UPS store typically closes at a reasonalble hour which limits night time work as well.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role as an Area Operations Manager for The UPS Store located in the Greater Wilmington Area (and Goldsboro). The Area Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of multiple store locations, managing staff, ensuring efficient service delivery, maintaining inventory levels, implementing company policies and procedures, and providing exceptional customer service.

  • Bachelor's degree prefered in business administration and/or a related field or experience managing multiple retial locations
