The University of Vermont Health Network is Hiring a Patient Access Manager Near Middlebury, VT

This position will support our Porter Medical Center and Elizabeth Community Hospital locations.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Patient Access Manager is responsible for the ongoing management and daily operations of business functions which include registration, admissions, emergency access, insurance benefit management, point of service collections, edit resolution and ADT corrections; ultimately ensuring the success of front end revenue cycle functions. The Access Manager is responsible to ensure systems deployed at the front end of the revenue cycle are optimized, staff are trained, supported with quality monitoring and performance improvement as key tenets of the role. The manager plans, coordinates and organizes all business processes and work efforts specific to Patient Access functions at multiple campuses and locations. Under the direction of the Access Director, the manager ensures departmental goals and objectives are developed and met in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining quality assurance standards and adhering to regulatory requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors’ Degree or a combination of education and experience may be substituted. National certification for Health Access Management (CHAM) preferred and required within 2 years of hire. CPC certification desirable.

  • Five years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or finance.

  • Proven record of budget and fiscal responsibility with a focus on multi-department and site allocation.

  • Access/registration experience preferred.

  • Project development/management experience desirable.

  • Demonstrates a high level of proficiency.

  • Operates as a team player and demonstrates the ability to lead.

  • Communicates effectively.

  • Requires little or no supervision.
