The Manager, Programs oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the assigned University programs in accordance with the institution's academic and strategic missions. The incumbent operates with the goal of delivering high quality programs to the University faculty and staff and other key stakeholders. Furthermore, the Manager, Programs provides guidance and mentorship to program staff to encourage talent development.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Plans, implements, evaluates, and monitors organization-wide development programs. Implements project plans related to the delivery of new and on-going professional development programs. Works with internal stakeholders so that the program runs efficient and effectively. Evaluates and measures the effectiveness of assigned programs. Ensures that operations are managed within authorized budgets. Collects, manages, and reports program data. Develops and cultivates relationships and partnerships with various external entities and organizations to further department functions. Recruits, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines department staff to ensure optimum performance. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required
Certification and Licensing:

Experience:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
Department Specific Functions
  • Build strong member relationships by maintaining ongoing contact & managing the OLLI operations
  • Address and resolve OLLI members requests and concerns to ensure positive learning experience
  • Liaise with OLLI instructors and guest speakers to set-up/take down required technology and course materials used
  • Manages the marketing Salesforce database and enrollment management systems
  • Manages all administrative tasks and processes
  • Generate regular reports and analyze results to aid decision-making for OLLI Program
  • Works with campus counterparts to ensure efficient day to day operations of OLLI
  • Plans and participates in all in house OLLI events -Open House, Speaker Series, etc.
  • Coordinate/schedule special events and meetings
  • Helps to ensure ongoing communication and collaboration among the OLLI Committees
  • Identifies and assists in carrying out projects needed to ensure continued quality and growth of the OLLI program
  • Assist the Director with the management of all Workday related transactions to include credit card reconciliations, procurement processes through full invoice payments
  • Responsible for management of vendor relations
  • Monitors and updates OLLI website
  • Assists the OLLI Executive Director with the management of community partners
  • Recruits, trains, and supervises OLLI work-study student(s)
  • Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned
