The Source is Hiring a Mobile Unit Operator Near Austin, TX

Principle Functions: The Mobile Unit Operator (MUO) is responsible for driving and maintaining the medical mobile unit. He/she will also provide support and security for mobile unit team. The MUO will regularly survey the mobile unit to assess any possible issues and will work directly with Mission Mobile Medical and local vendors to address any maintenance issues. He/she will drive the mobile unit to all outreach, church, and service locations and stay onsite with the team until completion of operations.

Qualifications:

  • Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life and sexual purity.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith and policies of the center.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • CDL is preferred 
  • Be self-motivated, dependable, responsible, and have good problem solving skills 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrate compassion, cheerfulness and professionalism

Essential Job Functions

  • Drive the mobile unit to all events, including outreach, church, and service locations. 
  • Help with the general upkeep and maintenance of the mobile unit. 
  • Regularly complete pre and post trip checklist and report any possible maintenance issues to the Clinic Director or Mobile Clinic Coordinator. 
  • Serve as liaison between The Source and Mission Mobile Medical’s service team and local vendors to ensure all maintenance issues are resolved. 
  • Keep track of and schedule all routine maintenance appointments 
  • Responsible for filling the unit with fresh water and dumping the grey and black tanks regularly 
  • Provides onsite support and security for the mobile unit team 
  • Provides as needed maintenance support for the Austin clinic 

General

  • Attend staff meetings
  • Assist in special events, including annual fundraisers, Source 101’s and church presentations as needed 
  • Establish positive working relationships with staff members and volunteers
  • Other duties, as needed, including some maintenance support in the Austin clinic
