Pompanoosuc Mills has been handcrafting solid sustainably sourced North American hardwood furniture since 1973 at our mill in the beautiful state of Vermont. We take pride in providing clients with heirloom quality and custom fit pieces that last a lifetime.

We are currently looking to fill both full and part-time Sales Associates / Design Consultant positions in our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania showrooms.

About the positions:

• Act as the first point of contact for our customers. Introduce our brand and showcase our capabilities as furniture makers.
• Build genuine rapport with customers to determine their needs to help them make their interior design visions a reality. (We have clients literally for life!)
• Utilize a combination of interior design knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to provide product recommendations, assist with space planning and maintain relationships with our customers.
• Provide customers with knowledge of our products from natural wood case goods to upholstery and the benefits of buying handcrafted furniture.
• Manage and execute all stages of sales process through initial intake, designing, production and delivery to ensure the highest customer satisfaction.
• Meet with customers in the showroom, in their home and through virtual in-home consultations.

About you:

• Personable with a passion for interior design and problem solving.
• Willing to learn about our building process and extensive product line.
• A team player — willing to ask colleagues or managers (from across our nine showrooms) for guidance in assisting with custom and modified pieces.
• Excellent communication skills, time management and exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable with computer applications.
• Previous sales and customer service experience preferred.
• Available to work weekends and some holidays.

The positions available are non-commission and salary is commensurate with experience.
